On-street Bicycle Parking at LynLake
All cyclists have been in the same lousy situation - scanning up and down the street for a pole or sign to lock our beloved bicycles to because there isn’t enough bike parking. It’s the worst.
That’s why cyclists rejoiced at the beginning of this summer when they discovered LynLake Brewery’s rad, new bike racks – two long racks with plenty of spots for everyone’s bike. The parking is an area that is a high-frequented spot in the City and it’s right off the Midtown Greenway.
But the most surprising part of all? The racks use street spots that are normally for car parking.

Celebrating the Completion of Minnehaha Avenue
Have you checked out the new and improved bike lanes on Minnehaha Ave? The construction was completed on November 12 and an opening ceremony was held to bring the community out to see the new changes. Activities included crafts for kids, cider and treats, speakers from the county, and a group bike ride to test out the bike lanes.

My name is Briana Turnbull and I am a female cyclist and a fashion designer. When I started cycling a few years ago I was determined to try not to wear the uninspiring cycling clothes I seemed to see everywhere. For a time I wore street clothes but I always found it difficult to move my body very quickly or efficiently. My street clothes weren’t comfortable for biking and they weren’t durable enough either.
After a little while I gave in and now I generally wear a combination of cycling specific clothes and other athletic attire when I commute. I usually bring a set of street clothes to change into that are appropriate for whatever event I commuted to, but this packing and changing routine is a time consuming hassle. It got me thinking about all of the things that I want to see offered in women’s bike clothing, especially commuter wear. Immediately I began to wonder what other women thought.
