Bikeways for Everyone Monthly Get Together

Bikeways for Everyone is a collaborative campaign of community partners, businesses and individuals advocating for 30 new miles of protected bikeways by 2020. Efforts by our volunteers and supporters have allowed us to turn in THOUSANDS of signatures in support of protected bikeways, which helped secure $750,000 dollars in the City budget for the construction of five protected bikeways this year.

5/19/2015 BAC Engineering Subcommittee

This is my second time attending the City's Bicycle Advisory Committee's Engineering Subcommittee meeting.

The Engineering Subcommittee meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month, 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Colonial Warehouse Building, 212 3rd Ave N, Suite 404. The next Engineering Subcommittee meeting will be June 16th.

Grease Rag open shop at Cycles for Change

Katherine Daugherty,a Minneapolis Bicycle Coalition volunteer, checked out a Grease Rag Open Shop for Bike Week! Here's what she had to say about the experience:

Grease Rag open shop at Cycles for Change was an inviting and empowering experience. Tuesday nights open shop is exclusively for women, trans and femme identifying individuals and provided a safe environment to learn.

I went into the shop to tune up my bike, even though I didn't know what that'd entail.
